i went to the beach and got second degree sunburns and sun poisoning and yesterday when i fell asleep i woke with what appeared to be a pimple. it was yellow and pus-filled i assume and today it seems to have healed but it's dark and scaly red. i red somewhere that a yellow sore filled with pus, scabs over, and then fills with pus again is a sign of skin cancer, but i can't say for sure, so does anyone know anything??

What you posted above are not signs of cancer.

Go to your doctor it may be an infected pimple.

Skin cancer doesn't happen that fast. Sunburn is an actual burn, like you would get from scalding water of by touching a hot object. Burnt skin is damaged, and it has to flake or shed so the underlying new skin can be revealed. I often burn myself slightly on the rack when I put things in the oven. The mark starts out red, then turns brown and kind of alligator-y. After a while it peels off, leaving a slight mark for a month or two.

Skin cancer does not have puss, and it does not appear immediately after an expose (or overexposure). To detect skin cancer use the ABCD rule: Asymmetry is where if you imagine cutting it in half, any two halves don't have the same shape. Border, skin cancer has a fuzzy, somewhat indistinct border. The Color of skin cancer will be an odd, possibly changing color. Diameter, cancer will get bigger. A good way to measure it is carefully draw a circle around it with a marker, stay right on it's border. Next, measure it and take a picture with a coin or measuring tape next to it. Repeat in a week, 2 weeks,.......... and compare results.

You have a sunburnt zit.

Cancer takes longer than a few days. It takes years and years in most cases. You got a 2nd degree burn in spots and that is what the blisters are from.
